Here lies a golden heart and a grimly gob. Good night!

Kurt Tucholsky - Politische Briefe (Political letters)

Dear Friend,

After spending too much money on shoes that do not fit and lipstick that I already owned, I've finally showed some sense and bought this book for one euro at a thrift store. It's much much better than any history book and makes me want to find a penpal. (Anyone interested? I've got notepaper with kittens on it!) Sadly it seems like there's no english translation of Tucholsky's letters.

You're called reader. And I'm called J.

das literarische duett/the literary duet - DER FREUND

We've announced it months ago. Now it's finally here : das literarische Duett (the literary duet). Our very own literature section.

Today with DER FREUND.

DER FREUND (the friend) was a literary journal published by Swiss author Christian Kracht from 2004 till 2006 in Kathmandu, Nepal. It contains short stories, columns about tools, poems, illustrations, etc. There were 8 issues. I own the first one. For obvious reasons I want more.
It's pretty much the best magazine I know.
Enough said. I dont' like writing reviews.
